Homeland's Zuleikha Robinson Performs "Replacement Theory" by Danzy Senna

Hello and welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story Podcast where great authors and actors meet! I’m your host, Cedering Fox, WORDTheatre's Founder & Artistic Director.
Last weekend, the LA Times Festival of Books, the largest literary festival in the United States, brought together countless authors, publishers, politicians, actors, and more to celebrate the written word. So many WORDTheatre authors were on this year’s lineup, including Ben Shattuck, Daniel Olivas, Luis J. Rodriguez, Percival Everett, and Danzy Senna, an author of six critically acclaimed books of fiction and nonfiction who was appearing on a panel to discuss her latest novel, Colored Television. In honor of that event, this week’s episode will feature Danzy’s short story “Replacement Theory,” which was performed at WORDtheatre by Zuleikha Robinson, known for her roles in the series Lost, Homeland, and The Lone Gunman.
But briefly, let me remind you about some of our upcoming events!
This Wednesday May 7th in New York City, we will honor John Edgar Wideman in an evening of stories & music, with the author interviewed after the performances by David Means. And then we head to London and The Crazy Coqs for WORDS & Wickets: A Literary & Musical Celebration of Cricket on Monday, May 19th! For more information visit WORDTheatre.org and WORDTheatreUK.org!
Please note that WORDTheatre holds the copyright to these recordings and no portion of anything you hear on WORDTheatre Weekly, our short story podcast, may be reproduced without permission.
