The Righteous Gemstones' Cassidy Freeman Performs "Just This" by Pamela Painter

Hello and welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story Podcast where great authors and actors meet! I’m your host, Cedering Fox, WORDTheatre's Founder & Artistic Director.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve been re-releasing earlier episodes of our short story podcast —as we’ve had a very busy start to the year! We’ve moved into a beautiful new office on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, we’ve organized our most extraordinary year of programming to date - you can find more on our websites, WORDTheatre.org and WORDTheatreUK.org! We kicked off with a gorgeous event in NYC in January; partnered with ALOUD to launch Walter Mosley's most recent book in February; and I have just returned to Los Angeles from London where we had a gorgeous sold-out performance of our WORDTheatre adaptation of Harriet Walter’s book She Speaks! What Shakespeare’s Women Might Have Said at the Old Vic in London on March 6th! To our Los Angeles community, we’ll be bringing She Speaks! to the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in September, so keep an eye out for more details and tickets, coming soon.
This week, you will hear the fabulous Cassidy Freeman, who stars in Righteous Gemstones. She joined us in NYC to perform in the first of our three-part NYC 2025 Author•Actor Series sponsored by Phiphen Studios Post NJ.

Please note that WORDTheatre holds the copyright to these recordings and no portion of anything you hear on WORDTheatre´Weekly, our short story podcast may be reproduced without permission.
To introduce JUST THIS and Cassidy's reading, here is another WORDTheatre favorite, Pamela Painter, the multiple Pushcart Prize winning author of five short story collections, whose work has been featured in publications such as The Atlantic and Harper’.“
